them is the Mikveh of Lawrence – Cedarhurst
Inc..
The Mikveh of Lawrence – Cedarhurst, Inc., is a
domestic non-profit corporation founded on May 16,
2005. Mel currently serves as member of its
executive of board and is involved with the
planning of the Mikveh as well as supporting Mikvah
USA which builds mikvahs throughout the US in
communities that cannot afford to build one without
financial assistance.

Other Supported Organizations
Aside from the Mikveh of Lawrence, Mel
Lifshitz is
also involved in various other Jewish charities
involving advanced Talmudic study in Seattle, New
York, Florida and Israel. He has also attended
many charity golf outings, including the Derek
Jeter golf outing.
Mel Lifshitz is also the financial benefactor of
the following organizations. Kulanu Academy – A
school based in Long Island, New York for children
with disabilities. Camp Bais Chana – A summer camp
program based in Brooklyn, New York. It is named in
memory of his daughter, Chana. This camp serves
children with severe mental and physical
challenges. Shalva – An Israeli based organization
that serves the needs of mentally challenged
children throughout Israel.
